Taletha Arnholt, 92, of Seymour, and formerly of Columbus, died at 8:31 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Lutheran Community Home.

Born May 26, 1923, in Jonesville, she was the daughter of Albert J. and Emma VonFange Welmer, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 11, 1948, she married Carl E. Arnholt, who preceded her in death June 19, 1985.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clifty and belonged to Tri-W Society and Ladies Aid. After her husband’s passing, Taletha and her sister, Marietha, moved into a duplex at Lutheran Community Home, where they were involved in the Immanuel Guild. She loved to read and cook. She previously was employed by Bartholomew County School Corp. in the cafeteria and retired from Brands Lumber Co. in 2000.

Survivors include her daughter, Gayla (Mike) Alesandro of Columbus; sister, Marietha Enzinger of Seymour; sister-in-law, Lil Christopher of Seymour; nieces, Veda (Ron) Eddy of The Villages, Florida, Carla (Richard) Sekula of Indianapolis, Linda (Colin) Scheidt of Columbus and Gina (Mark) Zimmerer of Sandy, Utah; and a nephew, Fred (Debbie) Christopher of Muncie.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Otho Welmer.

The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clifty with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
