NORTH VERNON

Charles “Gus” Edmond Lane, 72, of North Vernon died at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at his home.

Survivors include three sons, Ernest E. Lane II and Charles E. (Michelle) Lane Jr., both of Westport, and Joseph W. (Rachel) Benbow of Zenas; three daughters, Lora J. (Darryl) Mullins of Greensburg, Kimberly M. (James) Harvey of Scottsburg and Crystal L. (Kevin) Hord of Madison; five sisters, Wanda (Bill) Hall of Fayetteville, Susie (Wilmer) Cane of Victoria, Texas, Mary Arms of North Vernon, Brenda Gilbert of Columbia, Kentucky, and Betty Jo Gilbert of Owenton, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy and Cathy Lane.

The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service time. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family for expenses.
