Methodist women plan holiday bazaar

Seymour First United Methodist Women will conduct its 14th annual Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 31 at the church at Third and Ewing Streets.

Exhibitors from Brownstown, Columbus, Commiskey, Crothersville, Freetown, Nashville, North Vernon, Paris Crossing, Scottsburg, Seymour, Scipio, Vallonia and other communities plan to display their merchandise. Items to browse through will include clothing, crocheted and knitted items, Christmas decorations, crafts of all kinds, jewelry, purses, hair bows, embroidered items, candy and cookies and other items.

Lunch, along with baked goods and candies, coffee and soft drinks, will be available throughout the day.

A silent auction will be conducted with items ranging from Cincinnati Red tickets, gifts certificates to local restaurants and businesses and more.

Proceeds go to local mission agencies and United Methodist mission groups.
