Crothersville Town Players to present dinner theater

Crothersville Town Players will present “Purely Poetry” in a dinner theater Nov. 6 and 7 at Hamacher Hall, 211. E. Howard St.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the entertainment featuring Brayden Growe, Linda Seals, Eunice Lacey, Kimberly Mains, Sandy Law, Jesse Law and Brenda Holzworth.

“Purely Poetry” includes a reader’s theater presentation of a short play, “Just a Poem, Please,” followed by selections of the poetry of James Whitcomb Riley.

Cost for the dinner and theater is $15. The dinner menu is tossed salad, chicken, macaroni and cheese, roll, drink and dessert.

Proceeds are used for improving, repairing and maintaining Hamacher Hall (the former Presbyterian church) and the annex building, which has served as an early school, a boarding house, a license branch, a telephone exchange and in a variety of functions as the church annex.
