The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to close State Road 258 at the Louisville & Indiana Railroad crossing beginning Nov. 4 for rail repairs.

Motorists can circumvent the closure via State Road 11, U.S. 50/Tipton Street and Community Drive.

Railroad crews are scheduled to be on site through Nov. 6. The closing had been scheduled for this week but was delayed because of weather.

The rail crossing on State Road 258 is located 550 feet west of State Road 11.
