Stella Mae Zink Anderson, 95, of Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown, and formerly of Vallonia, passed away at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village.

Born Aug. 27, 1920, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Leonard Newton Bowers and Nancy Jane Hamilton Bowers, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Ivan Zink, who preceded her in death. Then she married Frances Anderson, who also preceded her in death.

She loved all of her grandchildren, cooking, canning and puppies. She was a member of baptist and Pentecostal churches. She was a homemaker and had worked at H.O. Canfield and Panasote, both in Seymour. She had been a resident of Jackson County since 1945.

Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Davis of Seymour, Mike Zink of Vallonia, Donnie Zink of Medora and Randy Zink of California; a daughter, Beverly Brewster of Brownstown; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, David Zink and Ricky Zink; a daughter, Carolyn Davis; a brother, Leonard Bowers; and three sisters, Mary Pruett, Nellie Pruett and Dorothy Fleenor.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Vallonia, with Pastor Ivan Vititoe officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.

Burial will be at Vallonia Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Hague Funeral Home in Medora.
