COLUMBUS

June D. Stewart, 54, of Columbus, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at her home.

Born March 15, 1961, in Seymour, she was the daughter of John and Ola Jean Penrose Wayt, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 24, 2004, she married Larry W. “Stew” Stewart, who survives.

June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was number one in her life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Paul (Maranda) Sterling of Columbus; son-in-law, Shawn Bowman of Vallonia; brothers, Jim (Diane) Wayt, of Kurtz and John D. Wayt of Columbus; sisters, Janice (Bob) Wagner, Debra (Kyle) Snyder and Shirley (Joe) Warner, all of Columbus, and Janet Wooley of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Noah Ray, Jonathon Bowman, Shawn Timothy Bowman, Hailey Bowman, Tristan Sterling, Dillon Sterling, Nakita Purkey, Midnight Purkey and Jasmin Purkey.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Erica Bowman; and a brother, Ronald D. Wayt.

The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Jerry Van Kuiken officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
