Sharon Ann Stewart, 79, of Salem, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at her residence.

Born June 22, 1936, in Medora, she was the daughter of Harvey Persinger and Della Williams Persinger, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Gresham Stewart Jr., who died in 1978.

She graduated from Medora High School in 1954 and was a member of Medora Christian Church. She was a homemaker and home health aide in Salem for several years. She loved IU basketball and shopping.

Survivors include a daughter, Luanne (Brad) McCammon of Medora; and two grandchildren, Kelsey McCammon and Carley McCammon.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Stephen Stewart; and a sister, Mary Lou Alexander.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with the Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Burial will be in Beem Cemetery at Medora.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or donor’s choice of charity.
