Church plans Germany trip informational session

Zion Lutheran Church and Pastor Jeffrey Stuckwisch will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1501 Gaiser Drive, Seymour, for those interested in touring Germany on May 30 through June 10, 2016.

The 12-day tour will visit key Martin Luther cities, including Erfurt, Eisenach, Wittenberg and Eisleben. Music lovers will enjoy a Bach Motet concert in Leipzig and the Bach House in Eisenach.

A highlight of the tour will be a visit to the Bremerhaven Emigration Museum and to Venne, the ancestral home of many Jackson County Germans. The tour also includes Berlin, a Rhine River cruise, castles, palaces, gardens, a folk museum and authentic German meals.

Cost of the tour includes buffet breakfast and dinner daily, deluxe motor coaches, first-class hotels and taxes, gratuities and program fees. Airfare with departure from Louisville, Kentucky, also is being arranged through the tour company.
