Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid 3 met at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Seymour church’s fellowship hall.

Verses 1 and 2 of the hymn, “Take My Life and Let It Be,” were led by guest speaker Pastor Philip Bloch followed by the recital of Psalm 150.

Bloch gave the lesson based on Psalm 46, which inspired Martin Luther to write the hymn, “A Mighty Fortress is our God.”

The words of that Psalm give us strength against natural calamities or spiritual attacks. We know God is in the midst of the church on earth and His people. The remaining verses of “Take My Life and Let It Be” were sung.

President Jane Pardieck opened the meeting, and 16 members answered roll call. Secretary Carol Hill read the minutes of the August meeting, treasurer Linda Kamman reported the balance and mites were collected.

Janis Mundt of the cheer committee said she sent six September birthday cards and two anniversary cards, and she sent three birthday cards, one anniversary card and two sympathy cards in October.

Ann Mahan and Sue Meyer reported on their visitations for September and Norma Kilgas and Sharon Klakamp for October. Anna Mills and Mundt will be the November visitation cheer committee.

Arts and craft committee members Mahan and Kilgas reported that the group will have a full house for Saturday’s craft fair, and there will be 10 new vendors.

Fliers were passed around to be posted by members at various places. Volunteers are needed to tape and meet vendors as they come in. Pardieck volunteered to meet vendors.

Thrivent has given the group matching funds of $250 for the craft fair. Food for the luncheon signup sheet was passed out to members.

The Christmas party food pitch-in sheet was passed around to the members.

Jan Behrens of the nominating committee presented the list of officers for next year. They are president, Pardieck; vice president, Ginny Fenton; treasurer, Kamman; and secretary, Carol Hill. The list was approved by the members.
