VALLONIA

Anita Mae Trowbridge McMillan, 97, of Vallonia died at 1:43 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born Oct. 24, 1918, in Vallonia, she was the daughter of Harrison Waskom Trowbridge and Nellie Weddell Trowbridge, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 11, 1941, in Vallonia, she married Victor B. McMillan, who preceded her in death July 21, 2000.

Anita was a faithful member of Vallonia Christian Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three children, Jean (Siles) Hall of Scottsburg, Sarah (John) Durham of Sullivan and Charles McMillan of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lloyd Lowell Trowbridge; a brother, Jack Trowbridge; and two sisters, Ruth Hotchkiss and Janette Spray.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia with Chris Criminger officiating. Burial will be at Vallonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vallonia Christian Church or Hoosier Christian Village.
