Indiana University Southeast sophomore libero Taylor Sutton has been named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defender of the Week for the second time, the conference announced.
Sutton, of Seymour, had 19 digs and one ace in the Grenadiers’ only match last week, a 3-1 loss to Cincinnati Christian on Nov. 5.
She ranks No. 3 in the KIAC and No. 38 in the NAIA with 4.9 digs per set. During conference play, Sutton ranks No. 5 in the league with 4.4 digs per set.
Junior Hannah Barker of Seymour was named the KIAC Setter of the Week for the second time this season.
Barker had 42 assists, 10 digs and six kills in the Grenadiers match against Cincinnati Christian.
She ranks second in the KIAC with 9.2 assists per set and is third in the league in total assists with 1,008. During conference play, Barker leads the league with 9.7 assists per set.
