Robin Joe “Rob” Smith, 60, of Seymour passed away at his home early Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.

Born Oct. 29, 1955, in Seymour, he was the son of Hartwell and Sarah Louise Miller Smith, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 31, 1986, he married Nancy Lorraine Hall, who survives.

Rob worked as a union concrete finisher for many years. He loved being outdoors fishing and hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, survivors include his children, Jackie (Melissa) Clifton, Betty Wilson, Dustin Adkins, Heather Keller, Brandon Keller, Laura Emmons, Tracie Emmons and Brandy Smith; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carla Sciarra, Treva Brittian and Tammy (Dewayne) Brittian.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reddington Christian Church with the Rev. Scott Brown officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.

After the memorial service, friends and family are invited to gather at Rob and Nancy’s house.
