William E. Johnson Jr., 72, of Columbus, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; children, Kimberlin K. (Rick) Carpenter and Paul Edward (Lisa) Johnson; stepchildren, Brenda (Mike) Simmons, Melody (David) Smith and Richard E. Trowbridge; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will take place at Scottsburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
