Jack and Marilyn Kendall celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday with a reception of friends and family after the morning service at Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour.

The couple were married Nov. 19, 1955, at the parsonage at Freetown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edgar Walls officiating.

They have three children, Kenny (Linda Marshall) Kendall of Seymour, Don (Kathy Fleetwood) Kendall of Brownstown and Sandy Padron of Seymour; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two stepgrandchildren.

He farmed for many years and also worked at Amoco Chemicals and Rose Acre Farms. He retired from Wal-Mart.

She worked at Morris 5&10, J.C. Penney Co. and Ponderosa Steakhouse and retired from Easyville Grocery in 1982. She then returned to being a housewife and babysitting kids and grandkids.

The couple have been members of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1972.
