Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church met Oct. 27. President Paula Stafford thanked Group I under the leadership of Janice Brock for being hostesses.

Brock gave devotions on the theme “Are You a Real Apple?”

The secretary and treasurer reports both were approved.

Two thank-you notes were read, from Mental Health America of Jackson County for a donation and from Order of the Eastern Star for the dinner.

Lucy Dembek gave a short report of the board meeting.

Since there was no volunteer to chair the nominating committee, Stafford was going to call two people to serve.

The new address of Jane Coryell was passed around, and Carolyn Bruce reminded the group of people who need prayers.

A motion was passed to have Loyal Devoir pay for the Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at The Pines.

Motions were passed to give donations to Hoosier Christian Village and Christmas Miracle.

The next meeting will be Nov. 24.

The meeting was closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
