Rheba Jane Weber, 74, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born June 19, 1941, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Thomas Henry and Verna Marie Clark Knott, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 13, 1960, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, she married Dennis Richard Weber, who also preceded her in death.

Rheba was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She graduated from Shields High School and then spent her life as a housewife and homemaker. In her younger days, she worked at Seymour Telephone Co., Schneck Memorial Hospital as a receptionist in the lab, and Amoco as a shipping manager. She was strong in her faith. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards and reading the newspaper and Bible.

Survivors include her children, Kevin (Johannah Pollert) Weber, Andrew (Michelle) Weber and Gretchen (Michael) Corcoran; grandchildren, Amber Weber Chance, Jeremy Weber and Justin, Emily and Nathan Corcoran; great-grandchildren, Brayton Cranfill, Jayden Chance and Weston Chance; and a sister, Beverly (John) Emhuff.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Weber; sisters, Marilyn Knott and Carolyn Jeter; and brothers, Gordon “Pete” Knott and Bill Knott.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch, the Rev. James Rodriguez and Vicar Alex Hoffmeyer officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
