NORTH VERNON

Joseph William Buckley Jr., 88, of North Vernon, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his son, James William (Brenda) Buckley of Columbus; daughters, Jo Ellen (Michael) Hammond of Scipio, and Julie Lynn (John) Black of North Vernon; stepdaughter, Colleen Kirchner of North Vernon; sister, Helen Louise (Reece) Brackins of Vero Beach, Florida; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva P. Speer.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
