All Seasons Garden Club met Nov. 2 at the home of Julie Ballard.
Appetizers, stew, salad, breads and cookies were served by Ballard and co-hostess Judy Bobb.
Bobb, the club’s vice president, shared an article about the legend of the chrysanthemum from “Thanksgiving Ideals.” The flower is a symbol of perfection and long life.
President Becky Hackman informed the club of fall cleanup she recently did at Lutheran Community Home.
Committees were formed for spring planting and fall cleanup.
Officers elected for next year were president, Veronica Bowling; vice president, Hackman; secretary, Nita Bridges; and treasurer, Martha Wilson.
Julie Ballard and Julie Nay entertained the group with a holiday game, What’s Your Turkey IQ.
Peggy Broshears and Wilson were the recipients of the door prizes. Favors of blackberry jam and fall cookie cutters were given to guests as favors.
The Dec. 7 meeting will be the annual Christmas party at the home of Jeanette Chastain. Co-hostesses are Hackman and Rita Wischmeier.
