Jerry and Elinor Lambertus Brown of Seymour recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family/wedding party dinner at Joe Huber’s Family Restaurant.

Earlier this fall, they took a bus tour of Nevada, Utah and Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion national parks.

The couple were married Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville.

The Browns have a daughter, Angela Collins of Seymour, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley.

Jerry retired from teaching math at Seymour Middle School for 35 years, and Elinor retired from Schneck Medical Center as payroll coordinator for 20 years.

Both are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where they are actively involved, and they are active volunteers of the Indiana branch of Orphan Grain Train in Jonesville.
