Accomplishments this past week: “Beating Bedford North Lawrence and Silver Creek. Continued to play well as a team and be undefeated.”

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

“I focused more on preparing for teams in practice and working hard.”

What did you do well?

“I made 10 of 12 at the free-throw line against Bedford. I also executed well on offense and defense.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I try to eat healthy and get a lot of rest the night before the game.”

Favorite drink: Big Red

Favorite food: Chips and salsa

Favorite music group/band/ artist/genre: Ellie Goulding

Favorite book: “The Hunger Games”

Favorite class: Government

Role model: “My dad”

Best advice: “Hard work pays off.”

If you could travel anywhere and why?

“Australia, because I’ve never been out of the country. It is really beautiful there, and they have kangaroos.”

Athletics goal (current or future)?

“Win a sectional title and possibly go further into the tournament.”

Maddie Roark Trinity Lutheran girls basketball // Sophomore

Accomplishments this past week: “We beat a solid team, Hauser by 12 points, had best game as a team so far, and it showed.” Averaged 21 points, five rebounds, five steals in first two games.

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

“I’ve been working hard in practice perfecting our press. I’ve also been working on my defense and mid-range jumpers.”

What did you do well?

“I’ve been moving the ball down the court in fast transition; I also had quite a few assists, did well seeing the whole court.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I scout the team prior to games and know who I need to shut down in the lane. I get a good night’s sleep the night before games and hydrate on game day.”

“Always play like you want to be remembered.”
