Norma Jean Nowland, 90, of Medora passed away at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Nov. 11, 1925, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Jim Cornett and Gladys Fish Cornett, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Curtis Nowland, who preceded her in death in 1968.

Norma graduated from Clearspring High School. She was a member of Medora Christian Church and Medora Senior Citizens. She was a factory worker at the former Medora Plastic Factory for 30 years and was a homemaker. She loved scrapbooks, flowers, her dog, Nick, and children.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Nowland of Medora and Roger (Joanne) Nowland of Mitchell; two daughters, Cathy Stidham and Sharon (Charles) Bottorff, both of Medora; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a half brother, Marvin Maynard of Seymour; and four half sisters, Elizabeth Marcott and Shirley Reynolds, both of Medora, Sandy Collins of Seymour and Gladys Gilbert of Medora.

She was preceded in death by one adopted son, Kevin Nowland, and one daughter, Judy Nowland.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Medora Christian Church with Pastor Jacob Breedlove officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Norman.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
