Centra Foundation and Centra Credit Union are again offering local residents an opportunity to help children through the Cops and Kids program this holiday season.

The Christmas tree at the firm’s branch at 520 S. Jackson Park Drive in Seymour is decorated with gift tags provided through the Fraternal Order of Police Donald M. Winn Lodge 108 program.

Each tag represents a Jackson County child that lodge members plan to take shopping to purchase needed clothes and a toy. The goal is to serve 50 children this holiday season.

The number of children is dependent on the amount raised to support the program.

The Centra Holiday Giving program will run through Dec. 12. Donations made to Centra Foundation are tax deductible.

In 2014, Centra members and friends provided winter clothes and toys for 25 less-fortunate children in Jackson County. Centra Foundation also provides the opportunity to make donations online at centrafoundation.org.
