Mildred Kiel of Seymour will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lutheran Community Home.

Born Dec. 6, 1915, she is the daughter of Walter and Clara Ahlbrand. On July 5, 1936, she married Gerald Kiel.

Mildred has a son, Dan (Karen) Kiel, and a daughter, Doris Jane (Gary) Doyle; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is retired from Tiemeier’s Jewelry Store in Seymour after 25 years and is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Cards will be accepted from those attending, but no gifts are requested.
