Eleanor R. Moore, 95, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born Sept. 26, 1920, in Anderson, she was the daughter of John and Mary Aldred Ryan, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Cecil R. Moore, who preceded her in death after 41 years of marriage.

Eleanor graduated from Lapel High School in 1938.

Survivors include two children, Bob (Ronna) Moore of Colfax and Sue (Mark) Smith of Seymour; four grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Jonathan Moore, Karen (Steve) Hicks and Bryan (Alison) Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Connor Hicks, Benjamin Hicks, Maddox Smith and Phoebe Smith.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanne Skimin and Margaret Myers.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dewey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
