Seymour Main Street will host a Night of 1,000 Cranes from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the former Knights of Pythias building, 103 N. Chestnut St., in downtown Seymour.

The event will be the final opportunity for Main Street members to view the Silver Sandhills of Seymour exhibit, featuring a display of 1,000 silver origami cranes created by artist Wendy Eiler.

There also will be a presentation from Scott Burgins, senior project manager from Strategic Development group, on information gathered for the recent Seymour economic development and downtown revitalization plan.

During the annual members event, guests will be served wine, beer or their favorite cocktails along with hors d’ouevres with an Asian flair.

Musical entertainment will be provided by local violinists Eri and Shosei Ando.
