Seymour’s Water Pollution Control Facility received the Excellence in Safety Award and the Laboratory Excellence Award during the 2015 Indiana Water Environmental Association conference Nov. 20 in Indianapolis.

The Excellence in Safety Award gives recognition to a Class 4 facility, which grades high in merit to a plant that sustains a minimum loss-time accident. Safety experience of the facility is compiled by the association’s safety committee based on merit points and by accident experience of that facility.

The Laboratory Excellence Award is given to a Class 4 facility for outstanding achievement in the implementation of laboratory technique and administration. Candidates for the award are determined by the laboratory committee and are based on grade evaluation.
