Jesse W. Law, 71, of Crothersville, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 3, 2015, at his home.

Born Feb. 7, 1944, in Crothersville, he was the son of Jesse E. and Ethel Berry Law, both of whom preceded him in death. On Aug. 2, 1970, in Seymour, he married Sandra K. Ritz Law, who survives in Crothersville.

Jesse was a 1963 graduate of Crothersville High School and served in the Air Force. He retired in 2008 after 44 years of dedicated service with Cummins Engine Co. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Crothersville, Crothersville Salvation Army, Tri-County Conservation Club, Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association, Giggles and More Clown Ministry and American Legion Post 89 in Seymour. He was a proud recipient of the Jackson County Historical Society Pioneer Award.

Jesse was a collector of old wrenches, watch fobs and keychains. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed playing with and loved dearly.

Besides his wife of 45 years, Sandra, survivors include three children, Thomas E. (Shannon Reppen) Law of Janesville, Wisconsin, Janice (Chris) Rider of Seymour and Jesse W. (Heather) Law Jr. of Uniontown; and four grandchildren, Jacob Law of Janesville, Wisconsin, Shelby Rider of Seymour and Owen Law and Ruby Margaret Law, both of Uniontown.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Pheral.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Crothersville. Burial will follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Crothersville and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association.
