FREETOWN

Jane Tabor, 86, of Freetown passed away at 1:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born March 3, 1929, she was the daughter of John and Margaret Persinger, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert Wendell Tabor, who preceded her in death.

She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and graduated from Brownstown High School. A housewife and mother, she had previously been employed at Freetown Post Office. She was a member of Freetown Nazarene Church.

Survivors include three children, Teresa (Dirk) James of Columbus and Tim Tabor and Carrie Tabor, both of Freetown; three grandchildren, Jonathon Tabor and Morgan Tabor, both of Freetown, and Heather (David) Swank of Greenwood; two sisters, Carol (Jesse) Boyer of Seymour and Diana (Don) McKinney of Windsor, North Carolina; and a brother, Joe (Judy) Persinger of Seymour.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christiansburg United Methodist Church in Brown County with the Rev. Charles Aigner of East Columbus United Methodist Church officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.

Burial will be at Christiansburg Cemetery.
