Robert Dale “Bob” Pollard, 85, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Born July 6, 1930, in Seymour, he was the son of Roy and Leona Schneck Pollard, both of whom preceded him in death.

Bob graduated in 1948 from Seymour High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. After returning home from service, he attended diesel mechanic technical school in Chicago. He was employed with Alberring’s Garage and Spray Sand and Gravel during his working years. Bob enjoyed skeet shooting, watching motorcycle races and helping friends with mechanical assistance on tractors and trucks. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour.

Survivors include his twin brother, Roy Eugene “Bud” Pollard; a sister, Mary B. Miller; three nieces, Ann Marie Miller, Jane (Ryan Kim) Blevins and Sue (Phil) Bonneau.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Mike Seaney officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, with full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or The Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center.
