Christmas Basket Fund keeps growing

The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $2,439 on Wednesday with eight donations totaling $532.

The new donations are:

In memory of loved ones, $100, from Janet Barkes.

In memory of John and Jon R. Lynch, $100, from Donna and Joni.

In memory of Pam Lawson, $25, from Ron and Donna Reichenbacker.

In memory of Richard E. Tate, $100, from Barbara, Julie, Michael and Robert.

In loving memory of our parents, Palois and Ruth Kerkhof and Merl and Cordelia Snyder, $20.

Merry Christmas, $25, from Edward and Kathleen Mead.

Good Friends Card Group, $62.

In memory of Kevin Dwayne Otte, $100, from Lloyd and Mary.

Donations can be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any branch of Jackson County Bank.

Businesses, corporations, service groups, churches, individuals or families may donate anonymously if they choose and may dedicate their donations to others.

To receive one of the gift cards, people must live in Jackson County and must submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274, and must be received by Tuesday.
