Barbara Ann Spray Ritz, 64, of Brownstown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Oct. 3, 1951, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of William E. Spray and the late Ruth C. Droege Spray. On Aug. 15, 1971, in Jackson County, she married Garry Gene Ritz, who preceded her in death March 14, 2013.

Barb was a housewife and helped manage the farm she and her husband owned. She was a huge fan of the Seymour High School girls basketball team and enjoyed her mornings at McDonald’s with her good friends.

Barb was a member of Honeytown Christian Church and a lifetime member of Angus Ladies Auxiliary.

Besides her father, survivors include her children, Casey (Melanie) Ritz and Sandy Kay Robinson; two granddaughters, Morgan and Megan Ritz; five grandsons, the oldest, Calvin Ritz, she raised as a son; and three sisters, Sue (Bill) Boyd, Peggy (Rick) Schleibaum and Mary (Jerry) Schooler.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Robertson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.

Memorials may be made to Honeytown Christian Church, Hospice of Schneck Medical Center or the Jackson County Library for the purchase of large-print books.
