Donations come in for Basket Fund

The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $3,129 on Thursday with five donations totaling $690.

The new donations are:

In loving memory of my husband, Gus; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keck; my parents; Mr. and Mrs. William Bergdoll; his brother, Bill; his sister Wanda and brother-in-law, Salas; and my sister Avonda Brown, $50, from Barbara Keck and family.

Fraternal Order of Eagles 655, $500.

In memory of Roy, Lillie and Bob Runge, $50.

In memory of Sue Warinner, Ruth and Ambrose Elsner, $50

In lieu of Christmas cards, $40, from Randy Bobb

Donations can be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any branch of Jackson County Bank.

Businesses, corporations, service groups, churches, individuals or families may donate anonymously if they choose and may dedicate their donations to others.

To receive one of the gift cards, people must live in Jackson County and must submit a letter stating their need for assistance. Requests should be mailed to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274, and must be received by Tuesday.
