Dorothy Ann Phillips, 75, of Columbus passed away at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at her home.
Born Feb. 18, 1940, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Paul and Opal Beatty O’Neal, both of whom preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a 1957 graduate of Seymour High School in Seymour and worked for Phillips Company from January of 2000 to present. She previously had worked as a material planner for Cummins Engine Comp. in Columbus, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of Faith Ministries in Columbus and a former member of Unity Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed golfing, shopping and watching sports on television.
Survivors include a son, Vyran L. Phillips of North Vernon; daughter, Valerie A. (Mitchell “Mick” Blair) Phillips of Indianapolis; sisters, Pauline Cook of North Vernon and Agnes West of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three grandchildren, Paris Phillips and Vyran Phillips II, both of Columbus and Samone Blair of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Peck and Robert O’Neal.
Private visitation is planned with cremation to follow.
Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, North Vernon, handled the arrangements.
