The American Volleyball Coaches Association recently named Western Kentucky University’s Jessica Lucas as a member of the 2015 All-America Honorable Mention team.
The sophomore also earned the honor as a freshman last year.
Lucas, a Seymour graduate, guided WKU to rank sixth in the nation with a .294 hitting percentage.
Lucas led Conference USA with 11.18 assists per set, as she totaled 1,397 total assists.
She ranked 25th nationally in assists per set, while the team was 14th with 13.52 assists per set.
Named C-USA Setter of the Week three times this season, Lucas led the Hilltoppers with 14 double-doubles on the year.
She had four 50-plus assist outings in C-USA play, including a career-high 56 against North Texas.
Lucas was also the program’s first player to be named C-USA’s Setter of the Year and also earned MVP honors of the C-USA Tournament.
