Lawrence Emerson Mosley, 86, of Ripley, Ohio, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 25, 1929, in Crothersville, he was the son of John Emerson and Freda Chandler Mosley, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was a retired foreman for U.S. Shoe Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Breeding Mosley; three sons, Charles (Karen) Mosley of Tuolumne, California, and Donald (Phyllis) Mosley and Kelly Mosley, all of Ripley, Ohio; two daughters, Debra (Larry) Mosley Roberts of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Jennifer Polley of Ripley, Ohio; three grandchildren, Beth Mosley of Tuolumne, California, Madyson Platt of Russell, Kentucky, and Chandler Polley of Ripley, Ohio; a brother, Homer Mosley of Seymour; a sister, Clara Mae (Bill) Weaver of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Mosley.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio, with Gary Brose officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service.
