Seymour class of 1965 planning 50th

The Seymour High School Class of 1965 celebrated its 50th reunion June 27 at the American Legion. More than half of the graduating class of 300 attended.

The day began with golf at Shadowood Golf Course, followed by a tour of Seymour High School in the afternoon.

That evening at dinner, the veterans were honored along with former teachers who attended. Deceased classmates also were remembered.

Laura Henley Stahl and Ruth Ann Marley Rebber were honored for their years of dedication to the class’s reunions.

The scholarship of $2,000 was presented to 2015 Seymour High School graduate Jake Engel, one of Stahl’s first-grade elementary students.

Music was provided by The Reunion Band, who were members of the Seymour High School classes of 1964 and 1965.
