Larry Gene Scrogham, 62, of Columbus, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.

Born Aug. 15, 1953, in Columbus, he was the son of Everett L. Scrogham and Rae Gene Robertson Scrogham, both of whom survive in Medora.

Larry had been ill for about a year-and-a-half. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Cosco. He also had worked at Bradford Soap. He lived and loved the country life.

Besides his parents, survivors include four children, Amy Scrogham of Louisville, Kentucky, and Patricia Scrogham, Troy Scrogham and Robert Scrogham, all of Columbus; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry Scrogham; and four sisters, Stacie Madden of Freetown, Sharon Thompson of Edinburgh, Beverly Moore of Brown County and Donna Lee of Medora.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelby Boggs.

A memorial service will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Brownstown Park shelter house. Family and friends are invited.
