Jackson County Public Library will offer two health-related programs in the new year in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Lesley Kendall, a registered dietitian and nutrition services clinical coordinator at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, will present the program “Cooking and Eating for a Healthier and Slimmer You” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan 4. Kendall plans to demonstrate how to cook the recipes and will share samples of each item.

The public also is invited to learn a simple exercise routine to do every day when Becky Schepman presents “Simple Daily Workout to a Healthier and Slimmer You” from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Jan. 5. Schepman is an American Fitness Professionals and Associates certified group fitness instructor.

Registration is preferred for these programs by going to myjclibrary.org/events or by calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636.

In case of inclement weather, snow dates for these two programs are scheduled for Jan. 11 and 12.
