Check this offer out: Free state park passes

0

Beginning this week, Jackson County residents can check out state parks by checking out an entrance pass from a county public library.

The State Park Centennial Annual Pass Library Checkout Program is a partnership between Indiana State Parks and the Indiana State Library to encourage people to visit libraries and parks. Each of the libraries in Brownstown, Crothersville, Medora and Seymour has one pass that will check out for one week.

The passes will provide access to Indiana’s 32 state parks and also to Indiana’s state forest recreation areas where entrance fees are charged. Passes will be available for checkout at each library building through the end of this year.

The Indiana State Library helped pay for the parks pass program, and the Jackson County Public Library purchased additional passes for the Crothersville and Medora libraries. Libraries were limited to one pass per building.

Passes are only available to Brownstown Public Library cardholders in Brownstown and to Jackson County Public Library cardholders in Seymour, Crothersville and Medora.

Passes will check out for one week; however, they cannot be renewed, reserved or placed on hold and will have a $1/day overdue charge. It must be returned to the library building where it was checked out.
