The Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District is accepting public comments on updating the Lake Monroe master plan.
The deadline for comments to be received is Jan. 14.
The purpose of the plan is to provide guidance for the preservation, conservation, restoration, maintenance, management and development of project lands, waters and associated resources. It evaluates the present use and future potential of resources and recommends strategies for the future management and development of those resources. Updates are typically made every five years.
A copy of the initial master plan is available at www.lrl.usace.army.mil/Portals/64/docs/Ops/Recreation/Lakes/Monroe/MLMPDecember112015.pdf.
