Family, friends and neighbors of Doris Ayers are invited to an open house to celebrate her 100th birthday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at Brownstown United Methodist Church, 110 N. Poplar St.

She is the widow of Everett Ayers and the mother of Belva Ayers, Paul Ayers, Ruth Ayers Schroer, Earl Ayers and Robert “Bob” Ayers.

She is a longtime resident of Jackson County.

Refreshments will be served. The family is requesting no gifts, but you may bring a card or a silk flower if you choose.
