The accounting firms of Fleming, Brockschmidt and Durkin and Blue and Co. LLC recently announced their merger, effective Friday.

The combined firm will operate as Blue and Co. and will be based out of company’s Cincinnati location.

Fleming, Brockschmidt and Durkin partners Robert J. Findley, Sandra S. East, Kirk V. Fegley, Emily D. Merkle and J. Clay Deye will join Blue and Co., bringing the total number of directors (partners) to 47.

The combined staff will total more than 362 professionals in 10 offices across Indiana, including Seymour and Columbus, Ohio, Kentucky and Texas.

Fleming, Brockschmidt and Durkin PLL was formed in 1969 by Thomas Fleming, William Brockschmidt and Edward Durkin. Blue and Co. was founded in 1970 in Indianapolis.
