William D. Miller, 80, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Schneck Memorial Hospital.

Born March 11, 1935, in Seymour, he was the son of Anton Miller and Emma Peters Miller, both of whom preceded him in death. On Jan. 23, 1954, in Jeffersonville, he married Veronica Tidd Miller. She survives.

William was a member of the Eagles Club and United Association Local 440 Plumbers and Steamfitters and HVAC Service Technicians.

Other survivors include children, Anton “Tony” (Julia) Miller, Debra Helwig, Charles Miller and Mike (Stephanie) Miller; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Miller; two sisters, Dorla Pierce and Susie Harlow; grandson, Derek Miller, and son-in-law, John Helwig.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch, the Rev. James Rodriguez and Vicar Alex Hoffmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday.
