NORTH VERNON

Merrill Eugene “Moe” Olds, 74, of North Vernon died at 9:17 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Olds of North Vernon; sons, Jeffery (Jill) Olds of Shelbyville and Todd (Karen) Olds of Indianapolis; daughter, Michelle (Keith) Smith of North Vernon; brother, Franklin “Sandy” Olds of North Vernon; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services were conducted at Scipio Cemetery in Scipio with members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Matt Hester Post 2021 providing military graveside rites.

Private family visitation was at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
