Gary LaVern Hartwell, 59, of Hayden died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at his home.

Survivors include sons, Lee Hartwell and Shane (Suzette) Hartwell, all of Terre Haute; daughters, Sheila Hartwell of North Vernon, Stacey Giddens of Butlerville and Stevie (Dan) Creech of Ranger, Texas; mother, Minnie (Albert) Waltermire of North Vernon; companion, Cindy Keown of Hayden; brother, Harold Hartwell of Osgood; sisters, Frances (Jack) Sandlin of North Vernon, Sandra (Keith) Conrad of Elizabethtown and Marilyn Brooks and Tressa (Rob) Tillett, all of Scipio; and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made for expenses.
