Members of Friends and Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club met Dec. 4 for their annual Christmas lunch at Batar.
Because the regular meeting date of the fourth Tuesday of each month was during Christmas week, the group decided to meet earlier in the month.
Eleven members attended the lunch meeting, enjoying conversation and food.
Following the lunch, those who were able went to Southern Indiana Center for the Arts to view the member show and sale and participate in a fireside chat about the history of the building.
Friends and Neighbors member Judy Carter related the history and told of the many current activities, programs and classes that happen regularly at the center.
She also did a “make and take” demo. Members were able to learn a simple way to make a wearable art item that has many applications.
Members attending were Ruth Bateman, Carol Bobb, Carter, Louise Cox, Joann Davidson, Gay Lee, Charlotte Lovegrove, Helen Lutes, Martha McIntire, Ruby Niccum and Shirley Sears.
The January meeting will be on the regular meeting date at a location to be announced.
