Mitchell Lovins, 70, of Scottsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, in an accident on State Road 56 near Salem.

Survivors include his wife, Carla L. (Farmer) Lovins; two daughters, Darlene (David) Montgomery and Pamela (Michael) Campbell, both of Scottsburg; son, Mitchell Brian (Pam) Lovins of Scottsburg; two stepdaughters, Clarissa (Kyle) Akers of Scottsburg and Sabrina (Jason) Collins of Okinawa, Japan; a stepson, Matthew (Amanda) Jones of Lexington; his mother, Gertrude Lovins of Brownstown; two sisters, Madonna (Troy) Maxie of Tampico and Mary (Mike) Wehrkamp of Crothersville; two brothers, Michael (Connie) Lovins of Brownstown and Morris (Linda) Lovins of Scottsburg; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Taylor Lovins.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Christian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the family.
