Who or what got you into sports?

“I was always a huge fan of Brownstown Central football and knew I wanted to play ever since I was in elementary school. I started in fifth grade for the 56ers program and played every year after that until I graduated high school.”

What are your favorite memories of high school sports?

“One of my favorite memories in high school sports was being able to win the sectional title in football my senior year. I will always remember that overwhelming feeling of success and fulfillment as my senior class was able to lead the Braves to another sectional title. These feelings were also replicated when we won the North Harrison Invitational for track.”

What was your biggest accomplishment?

“I feel that my biggest accomplishment was earning a varsity letter in football and track all four years of high school while also earning and maintaining academic excellence.”

Were you involved in sports in college?

“I chose not to run track in college but focus on my studies instead; however, I did participate in intramural sports.”

What did you get out of that experience?

“My freshman year of college, my team won the championship in flag football. I played cornerback.”

How did sports affect your life?

“Sports taught me many valuable lessons, such as time management, responsibility, accountability, dependability and many more. Without my involvement in sports, I doubt that I would have been equipped with the right level of skills to reach my current level of success.”

Do you have any advice for kids about getting involved in sports?

“I highly encourage kids to get involved in sports. It’s not about how good you are. It’s about how good you can become. Each day is another chance to improve upon yourself, and sports gives you that extra edge to improve more on yourself. Also, some of my best friends to this day I met because of sports. Many positive opportunities exist with your involvement in sports and extracurricular activities.”

Do you have any hobbies?

“Guitar, building electronics and running.”

Do you have any favorite sports teams?

“NFL, Colts. NBA, Cavaliers.”

Do you have a favorite athlete?

“Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning.”
