A series of open houses at Jackson County churches has been planned as part of the bicentennial of the county and Brownstown.

The first open house called “Art, Architecture and Music at Wegan” will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1165 E. County Road 400S, Brownstown. A social hour will follow the free presentation.

A second open house called “Art, Architecture and Music at Trinity” will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4413 S. State Road 135, Vallonia.

Other churches are planning open houses during the year, and information about those events will be released at a later date.
